Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
CSSForge.top ("we", "our", or "the Site") provides a free collection of visual CSS generators. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have — including under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
1. Information We Do Not Collect
CSSForge is designed to be private by default:
- All generators run entirely in your browser (client-side JavaScript). The values, colors and designs you create never leave your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
- We do not require accounts, registration, names, phone numbers or email addresses to use any tool.
- We do not use analytics or tracking cookies of our own.
2. Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, our hosting server automatically records standard technical logs when you visit, which may include your IP address, browser type, referring page and access time. These logs are used solely for security monitoring and troubleshooting and are not linked to any individual identity.
3. Local Storage
The Site uses your browser's localStorage only to remember your language preference (e.g. cssforge_lang). This data stays on your device, is never transmitted, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
4. Advertising & Third-Party Cookies
We may display advertising served by third-party networks such as Google AdSense. These partners may use cookies, web beacons or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can also opt out of many third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info/choices.
Third-party ad servers operate under their own privacy policies; we do not control and are not responsible for their practices.
5. GDPR — Rights of EEA/UK Visitors
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data;
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your data;
- Right to restrict or object to processing, including processing for direct marketing;
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
- Right to withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
- Right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Because we do not collect personal data beyond standard server logs, exercising these rights will typically only involve log data. To make a request, email us at the address below.
Legal bases for processing: our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Site (server logs), and your consent where applicable (third-party advertising cookies).
6. CCPA — Rights of California Residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to:
- Know what categories of personal information we collect, use, disclose or sell;
- Delete personal information we have collected from you;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information;
- Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
Categories collected: internet or electronic network activity information (standard server logs only). We do not sell personal information. If third-party advertising cookies on the Site are considered a "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA, you may opt out as described in Section 4 or by emailing us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
7. Data Retention & Security
Server logs are retained for a limited period (typically under 90 days) and protected with industry-standard access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but the client-side nature of our tools means your creative work never reaches our servers in the first place.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
